About

This blog was launched by Dr. Eszter Gantner, Corinne Geering M.A., and Dr. Paul Vickers following the workshop “Heritage Studies and Socialism: Transnational Perspectives on Heritage in Eastern and Central Europe” that took place in Giessen, Germany, in November 2016.

We are a group of researchers working on heritage discourses and practices under socialism and their trajectories in the post-socialist period. We seek to explore heritage from a historical perspective and are particularly interested in transnational connections.
